The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2070 Arcadia-Monrovia in partnership with the Auxiliary to Post 2070 visited the Rosemead Villa Adult Care Home over the holidays to provide residents with necessities, food, and other baked goods.
VFW Post 2070 Commander Floyd Henderson donated tamales from Maria’s Bakery in El Monte, while the auxiliary made a generous cash donation, which was spent on necessities for 24 men and women. The necessities included lotions and perfumes. Socks and board games were also donated, as were baked pumpkin rolls, banana bread and cookies.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2070 Arcadia-Monrovia is dedicated to serving its members and its local community through various initiatives. The Auxiliary to Post 2070 consists of dedicated volunteers who support members through a series of programs.
